If you wear fake eyelashes, you'll know that sometimes they can be an absolute pain in the backside. More often than not, one lash will go on flawlessly, while the second hangs off your eye like a drunk bird on an electricity wire.

And the more you faff about to try and fix it, the more frustrating it gets. Half an hour later you're late for whatever you're meant to be doing and in world's grumpiest mood.

One woman's tip for applying lashes flawlessy and in seconds has now gone viral. She's not used anything super fancy - just a pair of £5 SOSU lashes - which often sell out at Primark because they're so popular.

But while the lashes she used impressed some people, most were blown away by her advice for applying lashes 'flawlessly' every single time. I've tried it, and I can confirm it works. Yay.

The Primark shopper, named Lucy, shared a video online in which she ran through her routine for putting on fake lashes, including the key step that makes them stick to your eyelids "like Velcro" without you having to worry about the exact precision of their placement.

To make the hack work, apply glue to your false lashes as normal, and then press them lightly to the rough area where you want them to stick so that some glue is transferred to your eyelid. Once the glue on the lash and on your eyelid is sticky, simply join the two glued areas together - sticking the eyelash to your lid in exactly the right place.

In her video, which was posted to TikTok under her username @lucyblu_, the woman said: "If you have trouble putting on lashes, do this trick - it is foolproof! Put your glue on your lash, and very roughly where you're going to put your lash, stamp the glue down and wait 30 seconds for that to get tacky. This is basically making your eye and the lash like Velcro so that the lash has something to stick to.

"Once that's tacky, you go back in and place your lash. Stuck down straight away, no fussing, no moving, done."

And Lucy didn't just stop there, as she actually offered two false eyelash hacks in her video, with the other telling people the best way to " save money " on lashes by making them last longer.

The woman said that she doesn't bother applying an entire false lash to each eye and instead cuts each lash in half, meaning one false eyelash actually does both her eyes - making each pack last twice as long. She added: "I'm going to show you a life hack on how to save money on lashes and get more from your lashes.

"You're actually just going to use one lash. That's all you need, just one of the lashes. I have quite small eyes so I only ever put a product like eyeliner from my pupil outwards for that fox-eye effect. So this is why this trick is just unbelievable to me.

"With your singular lash what you're going to do is cut it in half directly down the middle. Then swap the pieces over so that the outer lashes are now the inners, so that you have smaller lashes on the inside and they'll get bigger as you go out."

Commenters on the video were amazed by Lucy's hacks, as many of them praised her as a "genius" and said they'd be rushing to try out the trick for themselves. One person wrote: "Oh my god, that's amazing! Thank you!"

While another added: "Girl this is genius." And a third said: "This is actually such a game changer! Thanks so much, Lucy!"
