A mascara fan shared a video in which she used eyelash curlers on her upper and lower eyelashes, which shocked the makeup industry.

TikTok user Cassisel, also known as Cassandra Isel, shared a video on social media sites in which she tried Maybelline's much-anticipated Sky High mascara.

But it was not the effect of the mascara that made the audience talk about it—it was the way she used the eyelash curler.

Before applying mascara, Cassandra used beauty tools to curl her upper eyelashes.

Then she put it back on the lower eyelashes and gently pulled it down to make them look longer and thicker.

In the comments section of the video, fans quickly questioned Cassandra's approach.

One person wrote: "I can't be the only one who doesn't know that the bottom can be curled."

"No, baby, it's not the only one," someone answered.

"I think I have been curling my eyelashes by mistake," another person added, while others expressed their shock at this method with emojis and wrote: "Can you curl your lower eyelashes? ?!"

Another person worried that they would eventually use a hacker to pull out the eyelashes. Cassandra replied, “Yes, be careful. Make sure that the eyelash curler is 100% clean and I will not keep it closed while I use it. Eyelash curler. Pull."

She also revealed that she used a Tweezerman curling iron and has been using this technique since middle school to curl her eyelashes, so it is "in my muscle memory".

Since Cassandra released the video, the video has been viewed an astonishing 7.9 million times and has been "liked" more than 874,000 times.
