You Jianxia from China broke her own record for the longest eyelashes, reaching 20.5 cm.

You Jianxia has won the Guinness World Records title since June 28, 2016. At that time, her eyelashes were 12.4 cm long and were on the upper eyelid of her left eye. But her eyelashes continued to grow. Although all her eyelashes are extremely long, this time, the longest one appeared on the upper eyelid of her left eye again.

"I realized for the first time that my eyelashes started to grow in 2015. They continue to grow slowly and grow longer," she was quoted by the Guinness World Records website.

Although she consulted medical experts to understand the reason for her eyelashes, they could not find an explanation. "I'm also trying to find scientific reasons, such as genes or other things. However, none of my family members have eyelashes like me, so I can't explain it," she added.

The Ranger believes that eyelashes are "a gift from the Buddha." "I have been thinking about why my eyelashes are so long, and then I remembered that I spent more than 480 days on the mountain a few years ago. So, I told myself that my eyelashes must be a gift from the Buddha."

She also believed that her eyelashes gave her strength. "There may be a connection between my long eyelashes and a strong body. I am healthy now, but I was weaker when I was born. Now I feel good, and many people think I look younger."

She further said that thanks to the eyelashes, she does not need to wear eye shadow or eyeliner. "My natural long eyelashes are like long eyeliner."

Talking about whether the eyelashes make her feel uncomfortable, she said that they bring "only happiness, no trouble". "I want to say to others with unique beauty-let us rejoice and encourage happiness," she added.
