I'm an Irish make-up artist and here's my eight steps for perfect fake eyelashes

WEARING false lashes is a difficult skill to master - but one woman has shared tips on making it much easier.

Irish make-up artist Jade Foley took to social media to help out lash enthusiasts.

In her TikTok video, she says you should firstly prep your false lashes properly.

The video cuts to a close-up of one last where an extended piece of it is visible.

She said: "You see this little bit right here? Chop it off.

"If you don't cut it off like I have done, it will just poke into your eye and it's very uncomfortable."

And Jade recommends that when you're measuring out your falsies to cut them into a more suitable length for you, you should cut them from the outside.

Otherwise it will affect the style of the lash.

She added: "Also, not sure what lash is for which eye? Flip it around. this is now for your left, and this is for your right."

And Jade then went on to explain how to flawlessly apply the false lashes.

She said: "Take a dollop of glue and have it on the edge of the tube like this.

"Then take your lash and glide the glue along the lash line, but sort of rub it instead of just pushing product on the lash where you know there's too much there."

The MUA then shows how she puts the lashes on while the glue is still wet and not tacky, and removes it again so the glue stays on her lash line.

She said: "What you are going to do next is pop it on the eye, and then take it off straight away.

"If you need to, again go back on and kind of create like a 'liner effect' with the glue."

You can then pat off the excess glue from the actual falsies.

Jade says you should then wait a few seconds for the glue to thicken up and only after that should you pop your lashes back on.

She added: "Then pinch your lashes together, and boom.

"Avoid putting too much glue on your lash and give it time to dry."

Meanwhile, another Irish makeup artist has shared her top tips for applying blush if you are aged over 40.

Rhona Cullinan took to TikTok to share her tips, from picking out the right product to the way you should apply it.
